OGFB Logos
I took the liberty of grabbing the OGFB logo and giving it a slight tweak. The images here are:
- The original OGFB logo.
- A slightly enhanced version of the logo with a slight bevel effect in gif format.
- The same slightly enhanced version of the logo with the background removed as a transparent gif.
- The same enhanced version with the background removed as a transparent png.
The first 2 will have a slight color variation so that the rectangular shape of the logo is noticable. With the transparent gif, you gain the continuity of the background color, but have jagged edges on the traansparent gif. The .png file seems to be doing transparency pretty well in IE (8).
Personally, I like the logo as simple initials. Is this something we should go with?

#2 To maintain consistancy
To maintain consistancy across the site I would like a single transparant logo
Idealy I would like the four initials to have a shimmering chrome effect, i'm not into graphics much and don't know if this would be possible.

#3 Shimmering Chrome First Pass
Here's a first pass. Two different 'shimmeng chrome' logos (both in .png and .gif format). This isn't my strength, but I decided to give it a shot.
