user pictures/avatars too big in forums
hey guys, whats goin on, how ya doin?
work on my site is continuing quite nicely. i recently got some help and fixed an unsightly table in my views. now i find that users who add avatras/user pic, when signing up not from facebook, their pictures are too big and fit outside of the forum boundries when being displayed.
i like the forum pics here, i rememebr years back talking to flappy about them but i dont rememebr what it was. anyway i would like user pics like that, and really a whole new user profile page altogether if possible.
if i can get some help either setting the pic boundries or setting changes in other stuff i mention here it would be great.
alright im going to bed. see ya'z soon.
behold what i am talking about here:

thanks for the replies, guys.
flap, i have made an image-cahce which scales/crops the picture to 100 x 100, the same size you sue here. anyhow, now that i have this in place, how do i edit it to be used in my forums?
i am digging thru "pages" and such, but not finding a place where i could edit the "manage display" of it. i started off thinking Content Types --> forums --> manage display5 but this doesn't have to do with the user picture aspect of it, just the pictures hwich users upload to a forum thread.
so where do i edit to "turn on" my image-cache for showing a user avatar scaled/cropped? i know i did this once before, incidentlly with an old website in drupal i had online.
GEEEEEEZ, NEVERMIND! DOH! FOUND IT!
edit USERS, DUHH!!!!

I use an Imagecache setting for the pictures listed next to forum entries and posts. Create a new imagecache profile (resizing and cropping) and name it (post_image for example). Then, when you call for the image, use the function to allow you to include the specified imagecache profile when getting the picture in your template.
